General counselling. This is something that most people could benefit from at different times in their lives. Most people will, at some point in their lives, find themselves experiencing a stressful or saddening life event. They may even have a very difficult decision to make. In this instance the role of a therapist would be to assist you in speaking about this issue and finding a way of moving forward or resolving it.

There is a big difference between someone providing professional therapy and a person who listens to you in their role as a friend or colleague. Counselling is a helping approach that highlights the emotional and intellectual experience of how you are feeling about the problem you has sought help for.

Typical issues that work well in counselling: grief, loss, adjustment, sleep disruption, divorce.

The goal in attending counselling is to talk about an issue, understand it and feel better for this.

We have specialist practices in Northampton, Milton Keynes, London and other surrounding areas. Additionally we can offer online counselling therapy for those who are further afield or are struggling to make it to a clinic.
